The veracity of Israel's numbers has been a central criticism from the start. Every impartial examination I have seen have strongly called into question their claims. If Israel is, indeed, guilty of what I (and so many others) claim, then why would we trust their claims? For those numbers to be true would mean that the UN numbers would have to be suspect. I trust the UN numbers.

The UN says that over 20,000 of the deaths are women and children. Of the "men" killed, any male over 14 is counted. Given those numbers alone, the claim is that almost ALL of the "men", aged 15 and up, were Hamas. Such a claim is laughable. Their veracity of Israel's claim is also undermined by the fact that they have no numbers for civilian death (only outside groups, such as the UN, have released such numbers). Israel can confidently claim 13,000 terrorists killed, yet have no idea about civilian numbers? There is no way that is true. They are lying.
