To be very clear, nowhere in the article do I suggest that God/Jesus cannot or do not change their mind (or be surprised). Rather, I am simply rejecting that as the means of queer inclusion. I have no issue with the idea of God changing Their mind.

As for the Gentiles, I think the answer is clearer. All of humanity was declared "good" by Creator. The formation of a chosen people was a means to an end that always included universal salvation. Gentiles were always intended for belonging.
